The Miranda Naturalists' Trust (MNT) is organizing a bioblitz where as many people as possible (schools, iwi, district and regional councils, community groups etc) do a day and night survey of the area for all forms of life which are then identified by on-site experts. Throughout the day there will be 10 minute talks by experts; also emptying fish traps, bird netting and moth trapping.
The area to be surveyed covers the coastal strip between the Taramaire and Pukorokoro/Miranda Streams and the adjacent intertidal zone.
