Student Seaweek Photo Competition
The Student Seaweek Photo Competition is open to all primary, intermediate and College aged students in the Nelson/Tasman District. Judging will be by panel of judges and their decision is final. Prizes - $20 prize for each category sponsored by Nayland Physiotherapy.
Conditions:
- One entry per student per category
- Photo must have been taken by the student
- No photo shopping - original photo only.
There are three categories:
- In the sea
- On the sea
- Around the sea
Please write the category you are entering, your age, school name, your name, address and photo number on the back of the photo. If you would like the photo returned sent a returned stamped addressed envelope (otherwise photos will not be returned). Photos to be sent to Mitchell Chandler, Seaweek Photos, 728 Main Road, Stoke, Nelson to be received no later than noon Sunday 7th March 2010.
Wandering Albatross Talk with Kath Walker and Graeme Elliott
Tuesday 9 March, 7pm
Where: The Suter Gallery, Nelson
They'll be talking about Wandering albatross research on Adams Island in the subantarctic Auckland Islands. Lots of pictures of Wandering albatrosses, other birds, plants and the landscape. Also talk about by-catch, global change and the decline of wandering albatrosses.
