Sea Week

The latest entry in our Seaweek 2019 Junior Ocean Champion Challenge is from the Sunnyhills Going Gold Enviro Team. Their Challenge is Marine Metre Squared in Farm Cove and they are concerned about the health of their local marine environment in Farm Cove. They’re tracking the plant and animal life in the Tamaki Estuary by taking part in the Marine Metre Squared citizen science project. It’s pretty muddy down there!! Good on you Sunnyhills, certainly sounds like Ocean Champion material to us. Let us know what your Ocean Champion Challenge is and you can win some fantastic prizes including a family pass on Auckland Whale & Dolphin Safari, Rainbows End passes and Burnsco gift packs from the Auckland Outboard Boating Club and for seniors $500 towards your work from the New Zealand Coastal Society. Entries close 21 Dec so get yours in now! http://seaweek.org.nz/nominate-your-ocean-champion/ ... See MoreSee Less
