*Ocean Champion Entry* Imagine a whole classroom of ocean champions!

This entry is a group of Marine Science students from Wentworth College who are investigating how actions on the land surrounding intertidal regions can have an impact on marine biodiversity. Their goal is to increase awareness of this biodiversity by conducting marine meter squared surveys on the beach along the Whangaparoa Peninsula. Awesome work building knowledge and awareness of the local marine life and human impacts.

These hands on, out of the classroom experiences can leave a big impression on young people and their teacher, Amy, is well aware of that! Their class will be awarded for their efforts with a class trip to Kelly Tarlton's SEA LIFE Aquarium!
